- Though we are open for emergencies we are asking our patients to avoid visiting the surgery.
- If possible, please use the phone, email or e-consult to contact the surgery.
- Phlebotomy (blood tests) are now by pre-booked appointment only, please call the surgery to book a blood test.
- Rowlands prescriptions may be collected from the front entrance but for the protection of staff we respectfully ask you to maintain social distancing at all times.
- Sick notes can be requested by phone and we will post them out to you. (Do not vist the surgery)
- Please do not park in the doctors car park, even though it may sometimes appear that there are spaces available. This car park is for the use of doctors and emergency vehicles only.
Due to recent "near miss" accidents involving pedestrians and cars in the doctors car park we no longer allow the drop-off and pick-up of paitents for blood tests and suggest that you park on the road outside phlebotomy or in our patient car park.
Thank you for your co-operation and patience at this challenging time.
Flu Vaccinations 2020/2021
As you will have seen/heard in the media; the Government is expanding this year’s flu vaccination programme to include people aged 50 to 64.
In order to protect those most vulnerable, the ‘at-risk’ groups will be prioritised and vaccinated first.
Once the ‘at-risk group’ phase is well underway, those aged 50 to 64 will then receive an invitation to be vaccinated (they will not be vaccinated prior to receiving an invitation)
Covid-19 Update
You may have heard through national media reports that GP practices will start COVID-19 vaccination of priority groups (over 80s) from Dec 14 onwards.
In Stockton all the practices are working together as Networks to be able to provide the vaccines in a safe and co-ordinated way. Due to the nature of this first vaccine it cannot be sent to individual practices so we have developed a central site location.
We are preparing everything so we have a safe and effective process for inviting eligible patients, have all the staff trained and everything we need ready for the site. We have a provisional date to begin the vaccination programme as 28th December 2020. As soon as we have this confirmed we will then be in a position to start the invitation process for the first group of patients who are 80 and over and able to attend a clinic.
We will contact patients directly with details of the designated site with their appointment.
For residents of care homes or all other groups of patients we do not yet have the details for rolling out vaccines.
Please do not contact the practice about these vaccinations as we will contact patients directly and we will share all the information as it develops on our website to keep you as informed as possible.
We are delighted that there is a vaccination and we will be playing our part in the NHS wide roll out over the coming months as it will take some time to vaccinate everyone as and when more vaccines become available – we thank you for your patience and understanding.
